My husband and I went for a massage together. We often do this, but the place we usually go was fully booked. We decided to go somewhere else. This Thai place was the only place that could take us on the same day. My husband needed a deep tissue massage, and I wanted a relaxing one. The guy that worked on my husband was great and helpful. I had a very different experience.
I've had many massages, but none compare to this one!
The girl and the guy were speaking loudly to each other. She was rubbing my husband's back with her hands. She rubbed in the same place for about 10 minutes. Then she started working on my neck. It was like when your husband pinches your neck when you ask for a neck rub. (Still talking) She was told I have a torn muscle in my hip (don't touch), so she kept digging her fingers into the torn muscle. I had to stop her. (Still talking) Then she worked on my feet, digging in as hard as possible. Then she stopped talking, and the rubbing got softer and slower until it stopped. Her hands were still touching me, so she hadn't left. She jumped suddenly. I realized she had fallen asleep! I felt embarrassed for her! She left. After I turned over, it was a different lady! I thought I would have a better experience. Nope! This lady stretches my arms at an unnatural angle to massage them. I thought they would come out of the socket. Then she rubbed my elbow a little too hard, which made my funny bone hurt and the pain spread down my arm.
Finally, she starts to rub my head. I like it when she scratches my scalp, but she starts doing it now, and I don't like it. It wasn't just a little scratch, but a really rough, intense dig into my skin. It was very painful, and it left my scalp raw in some places. Those spots eventually scabbed over. I didn't complain, and I left a 30% tip. I won't be back.
