Independence My visit to a small massage studio off the Independence Square

Stopped by a small massage studio just off the Square last Thursday after work — figured I’d share my experience since I didn’t see much about them here.

Booked online in the afternoon for an evening slot. The booking process was straightforward and they sent a quick confirmation text with parking tips. The studio itself is tucked above a coffee shop; stairs are a little narrow but there’s a small sign out front. First impression: mellow playlist, soft lighting, and a faint scent of eucalyptus (not overpowering).

The therapist introduced herself, asked about problem areas, and checked pressure preferences. I told her I wanted something more for relaxation than deep tissue. The room was clean and towels smelled fresh. Everything felt professional — modesty respected, no awkward moments. I did notice the table warmer took a little while to heat up, and the oil felt a bit cold at first, but that was a minor thing.

Price was fair compared to places I’ve tried around Independence — not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I left feeling relaxed and less stiff in my shoulders. The session felt a little shorter than the time booked (maybe a few minutes), which was the only downside. Also parking can be a pain in the evenings if there’s an event on the Square.

Overall recommendation: good spot if you want a low-key, professional massage without the spa theatrics. Not for intense sports therapy, but great for unwinding. Curious if anyone else has been there or has a go-to recommendation near Independence that’s open late?
