Michael is truly one of a kind. He knows a lot and he's generous with his knowledge because he really wants you to feel better. He gives advice that makes you feel even better than you did from the medical massage alone. So, what's the deal with medical massages? To me, it's like getting the best massage ever from your favorite practitioner who's trained in medicine. They all want to know what's bothering you, but Michael's got a deeper understanding of the body than most. The more you tell him, the more he can help you. So don't be stoic, just tell him what happened/is happening and what you've already tried. Ask him what he thinks you could do to fix the situation. He'll give you so much info, you may want to take notes. For example, I told him I'm trying to cut back on sugar and having a hard time because I can't find a replacement I like. He asked if I'd tried allulose, and I told him I would, but I'd like to buy it locally. He said I could get it at Fred Meyer. It's a minor detail, but it's something I really care about.
I went in with swollen legs yesterday and asked if he could help with lymphatic drainage, and he did. It also reminds me to pump my feet and calves to help get the fluid out. He's been able to help with pretty much everything I've needed. It was worth the money, and I even left a nice tip. You won't be disappointed!
